A meeting of the Berlin Board of Education was held in the Berlin High School library beginning at 6:00 p.m. Present for the meeting were Louise Valliere, Kenneth Proulx, Nathan Morin, Corinne Cascadden, Bryan Lamirande, Amy Huter, Dan Record, Elizabeth Deen, Tim Forestall, Roland and Cheryl Pinette, and members of the press.
MINUTES On a motion by Louise Valliere, seconded by Kenneth Proulx, the Board voted to approve the minutes of the June 29, 2012 meeting, public session. The motion passed unanimously.
WARRANTS On a motion by Kenneth Proulx, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to approve the warrants dated, July 22, and July 23, 2012 for the amounts of $62,063.24 and $186,972.64.Discussion ensued regarding services received from North Country Education Services. On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.

COMMENTS None
PLAYGROUND Amy Huter updated the Board on the status of the Brown School Playground project. They have received half of the funding necessary to complete the project.
HOT LUNCH PRICES On a motion by Kenneth Proulx, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to approve the following hot lunch prices as amended for the 2012-2013 school year:
Breakfast - $1.50
Lunch 1-5 - $2.25
Lunch 6-12 - $2.50
Lunch Adult - $3.00
Milk - $.40
On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
BREAD BID On a motion by Louise Valliere, seconded by Kenneth Proulx, the Board voted to award the Bread Bid for the 2012-2013 school year to Bimbo Foods, Inc. On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
SA ACCOUNTS Kenneth Proulx requested that this topic be placed on hold until the August meeting when all of the administrators will be present. The Board members agreed and requested the information in this packet be placed in the August packet.
SUPER’S REPORT None
COMMENTS Tim Forestall expressed condolences for the passing of Laura Viger. He commented on her hard work and dedication the City of Berlin and to the schools in our district.
NEW BUSINESS None
NON PUBLIC The Board agreed that a nonpublic session was not required.
STAFFING On a motion by Kenneth Proulx, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to approve the following staffing changes:

The motion passed unanimously.
All nominations are contingent on the applicant passing a background check.
ADJOURN On a motion by Louise Valliere, seconded by Kenneth Proulx, the Board voted to adjourn it’s meeting at 6:25 p.m. The motion passed unanimously.
